Fruit infuser bottle

Since all of those skinny bitches on instagram always seem to be posing on a beach with them I bowed to peer pressure and bought a fruit infuser water bottle which I found on groupon for £3.99 with £1.99 shipping, not too shabby I thought to myself. The bottles come in 6 colours, black, blue, orange, purple, green and pink.

How wrong I was!

The bottle arrived after 4 days, with a small chip in the plastic, which I ignored as I bought the bottle mainly for review purposes other than than that it is a bottle with a hollow dildo- shaped basket for where your fruit sits. The basket is a good size for both fitted a decent amount of fruit in and possibly a make shift sex toy, not a recommendation there, just an observation!

I stuck my pineapple finger in the water and left it for 4 hours in the fridge and the bottle did it's job and infused my water with pineapple! Perfect! Well until I accidentally knocked the bottle off the counter and the lid shattered just like my dreams of having cheap, no hassle fruit infused water!

The only other criticisms would be the bottle is quite difficult to grip if you were considering to use the water bottle while going for a run and if the short fall from my counter to the floor managed to smash the cap I have no doubt the mean streets of Leeds would be no kinder plus when trying to get the water at the bottom of the bottle due to the water that top is designed you end up pouring your water all over your self!

The bottle was described as being made of tough Tritan plastic, apparently the lid was not made from anything tough as my floor made swift work of it!

Looks like I am back to infusing my water the old fashioned way!

Little Miracles Organic Energy

I spotted Little Miracles in Tesco Express and since I am always praying for a miracle I though I would go wild and gave the White Tea and Cherry a try.

The other flavours in the range are Lemongrass Tea and Ginseng, Black Tea and Peach and Green Tea and Pomegranate and for £1.39 I am hardly breaking the bank!

I like the natural design of the bottle and subconsciously reminds you that the drink is organic.

I enjoyed the taste, with the cherry being the strongest flavour with a hint of acai, I couldn't really pick up on the white tea!

I got a good energy boost and from as far as I can tell there is no caffeine, probably due to how little white tea is actually used in the drink.

This drink is prefect if you are looking curve your budding caffeine addiction and at 89 kcals it's a lower calorie option for an energy drink, although black coffee is calorie free.

With white tea being being one of the more prominent flavour listed on the bottle I would of liked to of seen more used in the drink and makes me feel like I have been conned a little.

Aside from that I liked the drink, the mild energy buzz the drink gave me and the transparency of the ingredients, give it a try for yourself.

Essential Proteins!

There are 20 amino acids, the things that make up protein, that the human body uses.
They are split into essential, which our bodies can't make and we have to find them with our mouths by eating and non essential which our bodies can make when ever they fancy it!

Essential Proteins:

Arginine helps your body make creatine!

Histamine helps widen your capillaries to reduce your blood pressure and contract smooth muscles, including in the muscles is your lungs, ever had an allergic reaction and had to take an antihistamine? Well this bad boy goes a bit wild and does it's job a little too well!

Isoleucine is used to help with proteinogenesis which means it help your body to make proteins to repair and build up your body, it is also important in giving you energy because when your body breaks it down it becomes the same molecule as when your break down sugar!

Leucine is amazing for muscles growth! Increasing muscle protein synthesis 10 times the amount of the other amino acids!

Lysine helps your body make Creatinine which helps our bodies use fatty acids as energy and reduces LDL cholesterol.

Methionine helps get rid of fat in the liver, stregthens nails and can help prevent hair loss. It also helps our bodies make use of sulphur which is key in keeping your bones and joints strong!

Phenylalanine can improve your mood, boost mental awareness, memory and suppress appitite.

Threonine also helps deal with digesting fat in the liver, helps antibodies and helps better absord other nutrients.

Tryptophan can help make niacin, melotonin and serotonin

Valine is really important for the health of your gall bladder and liver and is even used to help treat liver damage due to drug and alcohol abuse!

How to heal your hunch back!

Sick of being the office Quasimodo? Hopefully I can help you with that.

Rounded shoulders has a name it's about as pretty as the hunch you get from it, kyphosis is mainly found in office workers who spend a lot of time hunched over a computer for 9 hours a day 40 hours a week, cyclists  and those muscle morons that are all chest and no back and your body being the amazing little creature it is has adapted to this. Now instead of having a lovely S curve in your spine you now have a hideous C.

To see if your chest is tight simply stand with your back against a wall, make sure your bum, upper back head are all touching the wall and you have a curve in the lower part of your spine so it's that S shape that all those celebrities are always showing off in Heat magazine. You arms should be at your sides with your palms facing the wall.
Now bring your arms up with the mission of touching the wall either side of your head with the backs of your hands, can't manage it? Then you sir have a tight chest!

What can be done I hear you scream! Well first of all we need to stretch your chest and strengthen your back muscles. Until I get to star in some videos I am going to have to suggest checking youtube for some chest stretches and videos of prone cobras and back extensions but I will solider on with my attempt to explain them!

Chest stretch 1 : Find a door way. Stand in the door way. Bring your arms up so you look like a human letter T, then flex your arms, as if you were showing off your biceps but without the contraction of the muscles. Now place your palms on the door frame and try and push your chest through the door while stopping yourself with your hands! Do this for 20-30 seconds. Not recommend to try this between automatic doors!

Chest stretch 2: Lay on your back, no not for sexy time, stretch out your arms out so you are doing your best impression of the letter T again. Do thumbs up with both your hands with your palms facing the ceiling and try and rolling your thumbs back towards the ground. Hopefully you will feel a stretch! If laying on the floor is painful then feel free to lie on a cushion or pillow to make yourself more comfortable.Again hold for 20-30 seconds.

How to do a Prone Cobra : No it's not some far eastern fighting pose! Lie on your belly with your legs straight, arms by your sides and palms down then try and bring as much of your body off the floor as you can, while squeezing your bum and trying to make your thumbs touch the ceiling. To start hold for 2 seconds then rest and repeat 12 times.

The nugget: You can make a nugget by taping 2 tennis balls together then lying on top of it so your spine fits into the groove between the two ball then roll your back up and down to give yourself a back massage, this will probably feel uncomfortable is it breaks up the years of tension you have built up!

I hope you are able to decipher my explanations and please please please consult a doctor if you have any issues with your spine! You only have one and once it's gone it's gone. Severe Kyphosis can actually change the shape of your bones.

Fuel Protibricks

The guys and gals from Fuel have made there take on the family favourite weetabix and I bought some a box of 24 from my local Asda for £2 that's about 8p a brick if my maths isn't failing me!

Same strong brand image on the box as the other products in Fuel's breakfast arsenal  leaving the snap, crackle and pop boys shaking in there boots!

Protibricks tasted exactly the same as traditional weetabix but are they really worth the 52p extra?
I am not convinced.

With Protibricks boasting it's boosted protein on the front of the box it should maybe say slightly boosted protein as it only packs 3.7 grams of protein than traditional weetabix when comparing 100g of both products. Protibicks are a little lighter on the calories but I would rather have the extra change in my pocket.

Protibricks are whole grain, low salt and low sugar sounds great until you realise the cheaper alternative does exactly the same, being essentially the same product with a touch less protein. Protibricks does advertise that it's bricks are squared edged, if that isn't a big enough claim to make you rush out and buy them I don't know what will!.

To be honest I would not buy Protibricks again unless they were cheaper than weetabix and even then due to feel like the packing has attempted to bamboozle me I would probably give them a miss altogether.

Sorry for the negative review Fuel but look on the bright side! You got £2 off me!
